500. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
1.
Purpose
The services of classified staff are essential to the successful function of the district;
therefore, management of the operations of classified staff is an important
responsibility of the district administration.
2.
Authority
The Board recognizes that a dynamic and efficient staff dedicated to education is
necessary to maintain and improve the educational program. The Board is interested
in all district personnel and deems it necessary to promote the general welfare of the
staff.
The specific goals of the Board shall be to:
1.
Conduct employee evaluations, which will result in improved staff performance.
2.
Provide a compensation program which will attract and retain qualified
employees.
3.
Promote in-service training programs which will improve the staff's performance
and effectiveness.
4.
Administer negotiated collective bargaining agreements with various bargaining
units, where applicable.
5.
Recruit, select, and employ those individuals who are the most qualified.
6.
Develop the quality of human relationships in order that maximum staff
performance and satisfaction is maintained.
7.
Assign available personnel as effectively as possible within budgetary
constraints.
